Features
Mister.Net provides basic hosting with CGI-bin, PHP, unlimited POP3 email accounts, email alias accounts, email forwarders, the ability to host subdomains, FTP access, Microsoft FrontPage extensions, SSI (Server Side Includes), free search engine submissions and more.
The difference between the free and premium accounts is the ability to host MySQL databases in the latter account. Premium accounts also provide backup and restore features, phpMyAdmin and Web mail.
Beyond these features, it is difficult to determine the control panel options or if these sites can support blogs, eCommerce or if this service can be used for parking domains.
Reliability & Reputation
Although Mister.Net provides free Web hosting, the level of their hosting platform is that of a ‘Class A’ hosting provider and matches that of any top tier hosting company. Their network connectivity is backed by Cisco Systems and is deployed across both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans with an OC48 – Sonet POS backbone.
They use dual uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), dedicated backup generators and AC power with redundant feeds. Housing is in a card-key security installation with laser and motion-based detection systems and 24/7 security guards. They are located in a former Bank of America building that contains eighteen-inch thick walls. This facility is environmentally controlled and contains pre-action fire protection.

Mister.Net advertises banner-free content, but in their terms they state that, “we may display advertising in conjunction therewith through the use of pop-up or pop-under browser windows, banner advertisements, audio or video steams, appendices to emails, or other similar advertising means, and that we may aggregate related usage data by means of cookies and other similar means.”
