Their network operations data center is located in Toronto’s financial and telecommunications centre in the downtown core. Features

StormWeb.ca provides few features, but their sites seem ideal for personal Web sites or for small businesses in their top-level hosting solutions. They offer six plans ranging from very inexpensive (below budget) to mid-range cost for various bandwidth and server space options. Each increase in price also provides more databases (MySQL), more FTP sub-users and better anti-spam protection. More MySQL databases can be added for an extra fee.

Although it is not clear what features are offered in the low-priced accounts, you can expect the following from mid-range accounts and up: PHP support, ZEND optimizer, CGI and SSI (Server Side Includes) support, password-protected directories and Web-based control panel.

Account holders are not permitted to resell web-hosting services of their website to other parties, but Stormweb does offer an affiliate program with generous bonuses.

This hosting company uses only top-end industry-standard FreeBSD UNIX-based servers. They also only use heavily-peered high speed OC48 upstream providers for its Internet connection. They claim superb redundancy, better connections through greater route diversity and unparalleled uptime.

Pricing

StormWeb’s prices ranges from below-budget to a healthy price for their “Corporate Plus” plan. However, even that plan is easy to digest with high count Web storage and huge bandwidth. Currently, new sign-ups will receive two months free with a year contract, and if you sign up for two years you’ll receive three free months Web hosting. There are no setup fees.
