They power their servers with wind and solar energy only and for each new client, they plant a tree. In addition to the basic package, customers may add on services for a fee. Clients may choose from premium chat software, extra bandwidth and storage, QuickSite licenses, and SSL.

ThinkHost advertises several different options for merchant accounts. These allow eCommerce sites to sell merchandise and for their customers to pay via credit card. The affiliate program offers a highly competitive commission for referring a new customer to ThinkHost.

For new clients, ThinkHost offers a free package of software and discounts worth $400. ThinkHost uses a Unix server in a secure facility with back up generators and frequent back ups of data. Their service uptime average is between 99.6% and 99.9% These numbers include uptime for all services such as email and not just the time when the servers are powered on to the internet.

Pricing

Payments can be made online or by fax. Prepayment may be made for a minimum of three months in advance or for up to two years. Payment by check through the mail is only allowed when prepaying for at least six months. Satisfaction is guaranteed or money will be returned within the first 28 days of service.

Support

For support, ThinkHost uses a ticketing system. The support staff answers tickets in the order they are received with emergencies taking precedence. They guarantee that requests will be addressed within 24 hours. ThinkHost also provides a knowledge base page. This contains several files of information on a variety of hosting issues.
