ShopSite is an easy to use shopping cart software for e-Commerce businesses. It is produced by ShopSite, Inc., a company founded in 1996 originally under the name iCentral, Inc. ShopSite is sold through authorized resellers called ShopSite Partners. Features

The most current available version of ShopSite is 9.0. There are three service levels available, each designed to meet the specific needs of online stores of any kind. The three levels available are the Starter for merchants just starting out or for stores with few products, the Manager that offers unlimited product listings and pages and real-time credit card processing, and the Pro for stores that need advanced features such as coupons, digital downloads, and inventory tracking.

All three levels include store-building tools such as a browser-based interface, store setup wizard, flexible store templates, and store layout themes. Also provided are catalog management tools such as a media library manager and business tools such as easy order printing , store statistics, packing slips, and secure order management. Shopping cart features include secure order capture, email address validation, and separate shipping and billing addresses. All levels also include multiple payment gateways including PayPal, NetBanx, PSiGate, Authorize.net, WorldPay, and YourPay, plus flexible shipping and handling options.

ShopSite is a set of CGIs that run on a server. ShopSite allows users to choose where to install the software, and it is designed to run on several different server platforms. Merchants and customers can access ShopSite from the computer of their choice. ShopSite uses standard Web protocols and works with browsers from Mozilla, Microsoft, Apple, and others on computers running Windows 95, 98, ME, or XP, Windows NT or 2000, Macintosh, and UNIX/Linux. Merchants should use a version 6.x or higher browser in order to utilize all ShopSite features. The software works with the most popular server operating systems including Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, and Windows. ShopSite page and product databases are in SQL. The software does not require cookies and is easily upgradeable.
