Features

vDeck offers many features for use by the Web site administrator, irregardless of the size of the site. The Host Manager section allows the administrator to manage site files with ease. There is also a comprehensive tool for effective database management for advanced users. The Web builder makes site design simple, even for those new to Web design. Email accounts can be accessed from anywhere on the Internet. The system allows for personalized email addresses for multiple individuals.

The applications area offers a variety of features that can be included on a site, including a chat feature, bulletin boards and eCommerce. The power plugins allow installation of all types of applications on the site, from a custom search engine to a guestbook to a PayPal cart. The marketing tools offer learning about techniques to boost site traffic and sales. The detailed reports section gives information to administrators on how the site is performing. The settings area allows installation of Microsoft FrontPage extensions, setup redirects, and the creation of custom error pages. There is a domain admin section, through which the administrator can manage the domain directly. vDeck also offers a startup guide as a resource to learning about the panel’s available tools.

The newest version of vDeck, version 3.0, is currently in development and will be unveiled soon. This new version of the control panel will offer access to additional tools and services and make it easier than ever to manage a Web hosting account. The current version of vDeck incorporates 75 different tools and services, while vDeck 3.0 will raise that number to more than 200. It will feature more than 100 new tools and services, allowing greater flexibilty for managing hosting accounts and providing a wider selection of Web hosting applications. Highlights include customizable control panel design layouts, three easy-to-use site-building tools, more comprehensive domain management tools, an online Billing Console, and online access to support tickets.
